Mike Sardiñas, AIA, NCARB, has joined Bermello Ajamil & Partners (BA) as a Senior Architect and Project Manager in BA’s Miami Office. Sardiñas brings over 35 years of experience, specializing in healthcare facility planning and design, along with aviation, transportation, urban design and town planning, corporate and residential projects.
According to BA’s Vice President of Healthcare, Luis Sousa, RA, NCARB, “Mike’s strengths are his project leadership skills, his knowledge of the healthcare industry, and his ability to develop successful relationships with clients.”
As a former Senior Architect and Project Manager at Gresham Smith and Principal of his own practice, Sardiñas has managed a variety of healthcare facility projects for Baptist Health South Florida, Jackson Health Systems and University of Miami Health System.
“Mike will be integral to the continued growth of our Miami Office and the success of our healthcare practice across the firm,” added Willy Bermello, AIA, Chairman of the Board.
Sardiñas’ experience includes acting as a Visiting Juror and as an Assistant Professor for upper-level architectural design studios, as well as having served on the City of Coral Gables Board of Architects for 8 years, including 2 years as Chairman. In addition, he is currently serving on the City of Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board and has previously served as a member of the City of Coral Gables Single Family Residence Design Committee, as well as Curator for the City of Coral Gables Value Added Design Best Practices Research & Innovation for Emergency Departments.
Sardiñas has a Master of Architecture in Suburb and Town Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami. He is also licensed in the State of Florida as an Architect and General Contractor.
